Lonic liquid alkylation technology refers to the alkylation of butene with isobutane under the catalysis of ionic liquid into an oil product whose main component is isooctane。
Alkylated oil is mainly used as the blending component of gasoline octane number, which has obvious advantages such as high octane number (95-98) , low vapor pressure and without aromatic and olefin. With the limitation of MTBE,and the promotion of clean gasoline and ethanol gasoline, the blending effect of alkylated oils is becoming more and more important.
At present, most of the alkylation processes in China use concentrated sulfuric acid as catalyst, the reaction conditions were mild and the product quality was better. But the equipment requirement is high, the investment is big, and will produce waste acid, polluting the environment, it is troublesome to deal with it. If build a set of waste acid treatment equipment, may increase a large amount of investment, some small private enterprises can not afford it.

The process added an isomerization reactor, it promotes the isomerization of butene 1, raised the suitability of the unit to raw material ; heavy components cyclic reaction cracking, got high gasoline yield; ionic liquid has low corrosion to the equipment, equipment investment is less; a special process was used to recover the ionic liquid, then less loss of ionic liquid and lower the processing cost; without caustic washing, water washing, avoided solid waste and waste water, waste treatment cost is saved.
